Drone Zone opened the whole station in 2000 and Deep Space One took the cosmic material; The Dark Zone gets everything too bleak for either, the records where the drift stops being restful and the temperature drops out of the room. It is one of the station's undated channels — no announcement, no entry in the published histories, nothing but a stream, a logo and a title that already tells you the contents.

Almost nobody here is famous. Mount Shrine, shedir, Red Fog, AEGYRE and theadelaidean put records out through tiny labels and Bandcamp pages, usually alone; Robert Poss contributes from a collection of guitar drones, and Frore and Shane Morris supply the long collaborations. Tracks run ten minutes at a time and resolve almost nothing while they do.
