Komodo is the fourth and widest channel of the Radio Seribatu network: alternative, punk and metal from anywhere in Asia, cut together from studios in Bali, Singapore, Beijing and Hanoi. It arrived a year or so after the three stations the project launched at the start of 2020, billed as the first station to run Asian alternative around the clock, and it has travelled further than any of them — carried as in-flight entertainment on more than twenty-five airlines, Garuda, KLM, Qatar and Singapore among them.

Bands send tracks straight to the studio: rap-rock out of Jakarta with K-pop inflections, dreamy pop from Tangerang, Japanese power metal, a Thai singer folding mor lam and Cambodian jariang into something billed as Electro Isan Soul. Nothing is sold between them, and a weekly poster series built around the playlist passed its hundredth edition in 2023.
