Beveik Radijas: radio in diretta da Vilnius

Aspeeetta...

Spolveriamo la puntina…

Vilnius, Lithuania

Beveik Radijas

Where new rock still gets played.

Pop-punk, nu-metal and whatever rock is out now.

The station states its remit in a single line — an internet radio with only one rule, rock 'n' roll — under a motto that reads Mąstyk alternatyviai, think alternatively. The context that gives it a job is Lithuanian: the country has exactly one rock station on FM, Rock FM, on air since 2010 across Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda and Panevėžys and built on classic rock and hard'n'heavy. Beveik aims instead at the listeners who came up well after all of that, and it broadcasts online only, in Lithuanian, out of Vilnius.

Two scheduled lists carry the day, Indie Rock and Modern Rock, and both run wider than their names suggest. Simple Plan and the mid-2000s Warped Tour lineage sit next to Korn and From Ashes To New, with Stone Broken and Saint Asonia supplying the current hard rock, Normandie the post-hardcore and The Night Cafe the indie. Nobody talks between the records.
