Radyo ModyanRadyo Modyan

Five people — Ayşe İdil İdil, Barış Yalaz, Kerem Yalçıner, Ömer Ergün and Serap Dakak — started Radyo Modyan in Istanbul in 2016, wanting somewhere for music that sat outside the logic of companies and institutions. In the first weeks of 2021 it lined up with Noh Radio, Root Radio and Year Zero under the banner Ortak Kanal, a common front for the city's independent internet stations. The recorded archive has passed two thousand broadcasts since, across some ninety show series.

Guitars carry most of it: sludge on Sludge Factory, punk on Aperitivo Punk Rock, and metal on Desecration & Profanity, with Albüm Klübü pulling a single record apart each week. Against that run a dub strand from Dubfactor, jazz on Fütüritim and rave from La Maison Dieu. The same crew puts on Wunderfest, a music and nature gathering on the island of Gökçeada.
