Modern deep house, sunset-facing and unhurried.
Dinamo has never been only a broadcast. Since launching on Istanbul's 103.8 FM in November 2003 it has staged more than two hundred parties, launch nights, concerts and festivals, hosting John Digweed, DJ Harvey, Damian Lazarus, Sandy Rivera, Loco Dice, François K and Jazzanova in Istanbul and around Turkey. The FM licence went after a decade and the station moved to the web, where nine channels now split the job one frequency used to do. Recordings of many of those nights ended up back on air.
Deep takes the warm, groove-led end of modern deep house, with nu disco alongside it — Aki Bergen, Hoj and Flaze rather than a peak-time weapon. It is programmed for the hours either side of a night out, the late afternoon and the drive home, and nothing on it is in a hurry to peak. Sunset is the reference point, not midnight.
Golden hour on a loop.
